An Introduction to Dan’s Custom Masonry
My name is Dan, and I run a small, owner-operated masonry business based out of Oak Harbor. I’ve been working in the masonry field for nearly 30 years, starting out with commercial and union work before focusing on residential projects.Over the decades, I’ve had the privilege of learning from mentors across every corner of the trade. In 2008, I took that experience and started my own business as a professional contractor. Because I work directly on every job, I tend to keep our schedule small. I prefer to focus on one project at a time, taking the time required to ensure the work is done precisely and with care. A website can only say so much, but if we meet to look at your project, my goal is simply to listen to what you need, show you what’s possible, and see if I am the right fit to help you build it.

- Brick & Stonework: Installation of manufactured and natural stone veneer, natural full-bed stone, and concrete masonry units (CMU).
- 3D Layouts: For custom or complex projects, I can put together scaled 3D digital renderings before we begin, just so we can look at the design together and make sure it matches what you have in mind.
- Chimney Maintenance & Rebuilds: Structural chimney repairs including full rebuilds, flashing, concrete crowns, flue tiles, fireboxes, and tuck-pointing.
- Historical Restoration: Preservation and repair of older brick and stone structures using historically appropriate lime mortars.
- Outdoor Spaces: Flagstone patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, pizza ovens, and masonry garden features.
